Beebe’s at the Gallery, HUNT Gallery
Brunch and conversation with moderator Natalie Brown of the Burchfield Penney Art
Center. Part of the Parallel Paths Exhibition, now on display.
Parallel Paths Works by Ruby Merritt and Cindi O’Mara. On view: Oct 10th 2025 – Jan 9th 2026.
This collaborative exhibition celebrates the transformative relationship between a teacher and a student—now artistic peers—showcasing their works side by side.
During this discussion, Who’s Mentoring Whom, Cindi and Ruby reflect on the guidance, shared experiences, and enduring bond between them as mentor and mentee, exploring how each has influenced the other. The artists invite the audience to consider their own stories of learning from others, and how those exchanges continue to shape artistic practice and pass inspiration forward.
Cindi O’Mara: taught at North Tonawanda High School for a number of years before retiring to devote her free time to creating art.
Ruby Merritt: attended North Tonawanda High School before graduating to pursue her artistic career as an Artist/Teacher. www.rubymerritt.com
